The Future of the Book

NPR ran a very interesting On the Media episode this past week on the future of the book. Which you can listen to online anytime you like by following the above links. It's worth a listen.

Then we get around to the guest saying "I think if Dicken's were alive today today he'd be saying let's experiment with all these formats [of reading]" and the reporter suggesting "I think that if Dicken's was around today he'd probably say 'I don't care so long as I'm paid.'" For some reason that just rings oh so true.

I'll be thinking and writing more about some of the notions on the show/podcast this week.

Highly Recommended
